This is an unstandardized choropleth map of the 2004 election results. The reason why it is considered unstandardized is because the data is projected using raw data and it is not broken down into equal sections. Look at the key on the bottom left where is says "margin of victory." Bush has 5 different shades of red that could be colored-in and different data sets, while Kerry only has 3 color shades and different data sets.
